Peter’s Chocolate Product Line Expands for Confectioners
New “Bottomer” Product Solves “Blooming” Frustrations

Lititz, PA (February 10, 2005) – Peter’s Chocolate continues its course of industry leadership with the launch of its newest product to help confectioners achieve greater success in their businesses: Peter's Firstcoat™ “bottomers”. 

Peter’s Firstcoat™ “bottomers” are designed to solve the common problem of bloomed bottom confections, a common frustration for candy makers.  Unique to the industry, the non-lauric chocolate flavored pieces are fast drying products designed to be 100% compatible with cocoa butter.  Peter’s Firstcoat™ “bottomers” reduce or eliminate gray bottoms on centers.

Customers have two varieties to choose from, both with less than 0.5 g of trans fat per serving: Melbourne™, for use with milk chocolate, and Darley™, for use with dark chocolate.  Peter’s Firstcoat™ are moulded in cap form and packed 25 lbs. per case.
